Streamlining
What do you love spending time doing? What do you enjoy so much that you lose track of time when you do it?
How many obligations per week do you have that suck up your time and prevent you from doing more of what you love? Take a few minutes to write a list of all the other things that you “need” to turn your attention to weekly. Put anything you don’t desire doing on your list.
How long is your list?
My list has 56 things on it. There are 56 things each week that divert my attention away from doing what I love. No wonder I feel overwhelmed at times!
When you look at your list, how many of those “things” can be discontinued? What things do you do weekly that are just extra “noise” in your life? What things don’t really improve your life? Do you need to serve on many civic boards? Do you need to take on all those extra responsibilities at work? How badly do you really need your side job?
By getting rid of or delegating some tasks, your life will become more streamlined. You will have more time to focus on what you love doing.
